Over/Under the Rainbow

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Roy G. Biv.”

(Instructions: Roy G. Biv: no, he’s not the new bagger down at the grocery store. “Roy G. Biv” is an acronym made of the first letters of the seven colors of the rainbow, to help you remember: Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue. Indigo. Violet. It’s also your photo challenge theme for this week!*)

It was a steamy hot day, almost cliche by southern standards. The day’s foul heat lead to even nastier afternoon storms, which lead to this shot of a rainbow. While it is not much of a photo, it was taken in my car with the window up, I can’t help but marvel at the intensity of color and how the sky is several shades lighter underneath.
